Glide app builder.

Tools we use in the Bootcamp.

Glide allows you to create apps using visual components, and it is one of the main tools we teach in our Bootcamp. A big advantage with Glide is that you can use spreadsheets as your database, which simplifies a lot of the difficult part when it comes to creating apps. There's a lot of other pretty cool features that you can do with Glide, that can give a big head-start to launch your app and business.

Where should I start with Glide?

In our Bootcamp, Glide is used for specific examples, that are related to our program goals. If you want to have a head start we recommend you take a look at their app documentation as well as some videos about the platform in their youtube channel.

This is a good start to prepare for the lessons and challenges proposed in our Bootcamp.

What can I build with it?

There's a ton of possibilities with Glide 🎉, it really depends on what you're trying to achieve with your business and app idea. There are some limitations though, but again, it depends on your use-case

Example of limitations:

  • Details of how exactly individual components should look;
  • You can update data only in one table at a time;

Can I post it on the App Store or Google Playstore?

Currently, there isn't a way to directly publish your app from Glide into these app stores. Apple and Google charge extra fees to publish apps in their mobile stores, and the focus of our course is to give you the tools and knowledge to launch your ideas with the least cost possible.

Even if you can't post your app in the app store, you can still install it on people's phones android or apple, as Glide offers this feature directly. 😉
